Have you been in an auto accident?
Being in an auto accident can be very traumatic both mentally and physically. There are many types of injuries that occur as the result of an auto collision. Pain, burning and tenderness at the base of the skull into the neck and shoulders. Thoracic and lumbar pain, sometimes shooting into the hips and legs. Arm, knee and foot injuries…these are all common symptoms. Often the pain is felt immediately, but not always. Sometimes the pain and tightness can slowly build up, and at times feel as though it is moving around your body to different areas at different times. Or it may take increasing your activity level before you realize something hurts that did not, prior to the injury. If not treated, those symptoms can worsen in the injured areas months down the road and cause lasting pain and stiffness. Remember to take care of your body, it’s the only one you have!

About Kari Jones, LMT
My name is Kari Jones. I have over 19 years experience specializing in therapeutic injury treatment and understanding the healing process as well as the insurance process involved.
I truly care about my clients and strive to make every massage amazingly relaxing and most importantly effective and tailored to their injuries.
In 2002, I graduated from a massage therapy school, which at the time was located in Capital Medical Center. That offered me opportunities to work on a variety of patient injuries. Having a parent who suffered from multiple spinal injuries, I always knew I wanted to work in the injury treatment field and that educational experience solidified that for me. In 2004 I opened Copper Moon Massage Therapy, Inc. It was an amazing experience growing my business into a successful 6 room clinic that was helping so many people. The drawback was, I found myself so involved in the business and management side, that I didn’t feel I had the time or energy to focus on actually doing massage… and that is why I became a massage therapist in the first place! That is when I decided to make a big change. I moved locations and now have a private practice in West Olympia. It was truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel so fortunate that I am able to work in such a beautiful peaceful environment all while greatly improving my client’s health and quality of life.
